Andy’s thoughts before the game:

Martha Bath – the one in the Art Fleming version of Jeopardy! 50 years ago – made the most of her performance in 2022 in the current version and won over $30,000 on last night’s episode! Today her challengers are Lynda Tsuboi and Michael Menkhus.

PSA: The best way to keep COVID-19 at bay (and keep Jeopardy! producing new episodes) is for everyone to get vaccinated as soon as possible, including any recommended booster shots. When wearing a mask, please make sure your mask covers both your nose and mouth.

(Categories: Geography About Kokomo; In My Autobiography; People In Space; Vintage; Beyonce Songs; Sounds Like An Animal)

Aggressive daily doubles were the order of the day as Michael lost $4,000 the first time. He definitely wasn’t “bitten once, shy twice” as he did what he had to do on the second – he bet $8,000 of his $9,000 to take the lead with 4 hints and held that lead into the final. I was very impressed with Michael’s “Endgame” game! The final scorers were Michael with $18,600, Martha with $15,600 and Lynda with $3,200!

Statistics after Double Jeopardy:

Michael 24 right 7 wrong
Martha 19 right 0 wrong
Lynda 7 right 1 wrong
Total unplayed clues this season: 4 (today 0).

All 3 players got the finals right today and Michael bet enough to become champion! He ends the week tomorrow!

Final Danger! Betting suggestions:

(Results: Michael $18,600 Martha $15,600 Lynda $3,200)

Martha: Bet at least $6,001 but no more than $9,199 to give you the best chance of winning. (Actual stake: $10,500)

Lynda: If Michael makes a cover bet and is wrong, he drops to $5,999. So you have to wager at least $2,801 to stand a chance of winning. (Actual stake: $2,200)

Michael: The standard cover bet on Martha is $12,601. (Actual stake: $12,601)
